Arable Acres ProPlugs

Arable Acres ProPlugs are a stabilized media comprised of coco and peatmoss for use in the horticultural and agricultural industries.  Our plugs come loose in bulk cases or pre-packaged in trays, with the goal of fast planting, faster rooting, and lower labor demand.

PROPLUG SERIES 1

Specifically designed to germinate seedlings and rooting cuttlings in a closely populated tray system.  These plugs are engineered specifically so that they can later be transplanted into larger containers with additional growing media substrate.  Excellent for open fields, growing beds, and larger container transplanting.

With their stabilized growing media these plugs will allow growers to inspect, move, and potentially automate crop handling without damaging the plug or the plant.

Series 1 has more air porosity for better rooting and will provide more irrigation control than other similar products.  

PROPLUG SERIES 2

This softer plug was originally designed for field roses and fruit trees that were rooted in trays and then planted in fields for an additional year.  After harvesting a year later, growers didn't want twisted roots or a visible plug.
